Lefant vs Roborock

On the numbers, Roborock fields the deeper lineup (30 models), while Lefant has the cheaper entry point at ~$90, while Roborock leans harder into mopping (27 mopping machines). The table has the lineup-level numbers; the matchups below put individual models spec sheet to spec sheet.

Which brand to buy

Around $200 is the only stretch where these brands meet, and there Roborock offers a single robot: the Roborock Q7 L5 at $200. It maps efficiently with LiDAR and covers a lot of floor per charge, but its owner reports flag very poor pickup of flattened pet hair, heavy tangling and wasteful mopping. Lefant's one current robot, the LiDAR-mapped Lefant M2S Pro at $180, adds a self-emptying dock that the Roborock Q7 L5 lacks. With a Lefant you are trading a known weakness for an unknown.

Roborock pulls away quickly above that. The Roborock Q7 M5+ at $300 brings a self-emptying dock and suction its owners call exceptional for the price, though mopping is its weak link. The Roborock QV 35A ($380) washes and dries its own mops, something no Lefant does (the Qrevo Pro that also did is now discontinued), and owners of the Roborock QV 35A describe weeks without touching it. From there Roborock runs up to $1,700, plus cordless sticks and floor washers that Lefant does not make.

If your budget stops at $200, Lefant gives more dock for the money than Roborock's lone entry model. If you can reach $300 to $400, Roborock's track record and mop-washing docks make it the better buy, especially with pets.

Lefant vs Roborock: common questions

Is the Lefant M2S Pro better than the Roborock Q7 L5?▾

On paper it offers more, adding a self-emptying dock for $180 against the $200 Roborock Q7 L5. The Roborock has a documented weakness on pet hair, while the Lefant is an unknown quantity, so the Lefant is the bet for a dock and the Roborock for proven mapping.

What is the cheapest Roborock that washes its own mop, compared with Lefant?▾

The Roborock QV 35A at $380 washes and dries its pads at the dock; the Qrevo Pro that did so for $329 is now discontinued. No Lefant robot does this at any price, so for hands-off mopping Roborock is the only option of the two.
