The Qrevo S is the budget entry to Roborock's mop-washing dock line, and that's exactly how owners treat it: all the automation of a Qrevo Master — mop washing, drying, water refilling, self-emptying — with cheaper guts. Reddit sentiment is strongly positive (roughly 188 up, 23 down), and the recurring one-liner is "reliable, great mopping, lifts its pads, terrible with cables." At its routine ~$460 sale price it's one of the cheapest legitimate wash-and-dry combos from a tier-one brand.

The corners Roborock cut are specific. Obstacle avoidance is structured light only — no camera — and both RTINGS and Vacuum Wars called it the worst in the Qrevo lineup, so cords and small clutter need to be off the floor before it runs. Suction is 7,000Pa, which keeps hard floors clean but leaves it weak on carpet, especially patterned carpet. Battery life is genuinely flagship-grade: 180 minutes, about 1,268 sq ft per charge in testing, the same as the Master. The dock's detachable base tray makes cleaning out mop sludge less gross than most competitors.

This is the right robot for a mostly hard-floor home that's tidy enough not to need camera-grade avoidance, and the wrong robot for heavy-shedding dogs — the intake and auto-empty both struggle with volume hair. Versus the Qrevo Master or MaxV, you're paying roughly double mostly for better obstacle avoidance and stronger suction; versus the vacuum-only Q5 Pro+, you're adding the entire mopping-and-washing stack for about $150-200 more on sale. Budget accordingly for $13 dust bags, or go third-party.
