Roborock Vacuums

Roborock was founded in Beijing in July 2014 and took investment from Xiaomi two months later, joining Xiaomi's ecosystem of partner companies. Its first product, in 2016, was the Mi Home robot vacuum sold under Xiaomi's name; Roborock-branded robots followed, and the company added mop lifting with the S7 in 2021. Robots remain the core of the business, but Roborock now also sells the H60 cordless sticks and the F25 wet-dry floor washers, both of which appear among the models listed here.

The robot names map to price tiers. The Q series is the entry level: the Q7 L5 at $200 charges on a plain dock, while the Q7 M5+ at $300 and Q10 S5+ at $280 add a bagged self-empty base but leave mop washing to you. The Qrevo family is where the dock starts washing and drying the mop pads, from the QV 35A at $380 through the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow at $700 and Qrevo Edge 2 at $1,100 to the Qrevo Edge 3 Pro at $1,500; the Qrevo Pro, Qrevo Curv and 3.2-inch Qrevo Slim are now discontinued. Saros is the flagship line, from the Saros 10R at $900 to the Saros 20 Sonic at $1,700, with the arm-equipped Saros Z70 at $1,000. Owners most often named the now-discontinued Q Revo MaxV, at $700, as the point where the extra money stops buying much.

Two praises recur across the line: the Roborock app, which owners of the Q5 Pro+, Qrevo Curv and Q10 S5+ all single out for per-room control and multi-floor maps, and brushes that resist hair wrap, with Saros 20 and Qrevo Curv owners reporting no tangles at all. The complaints follow the hardware cuts. Models without a camera, such as the Qrevo S, Q10 S5+ and Q7 M5+, eat cables unless the floor is cleared first; QV 35A and Qrevo S owners say the cold-water mop wash lets pads sour if left; and the flagships carry small onboard bins, 228 ml on the Saros 20 Sonic. Qrevo Edge 2 and Qrevo Curv owners also describe receiving defective first units that a replacement fixed.

Roborock's US store gives machines a one-year limited warranty and excludes accessories, consumables such as filters and brushes, and batteries unless a defect elsewhere caused the damage. On a robot that costs four figures, that short term is worth weighing against the camera, hot-water wash and mop-lift height you are paying for.
