Narwal Vacuums
Narwal has 13 vacuums on The Vacuum List, across 2 machine types, priced from ~$250 to ~$1,300, 13 of which also mop. The flagship of the current lineup is the Narwal Flow 2. Compare the full lineup below.
Narwal traces itself to a family dinner at which the founder's father complained that bending over to mop was too tiring and asked for a robot that could mop and clean itself. Engineer Junbin Zhang founded the company in 2016; it is based in Dongguan, China, backed by ByteDance and Source Code Capital, and its first robot, the T10, was sold as the first vacuum-and-mop robot that washed its own mops. That mop-first history still shapes the models listed here: every one of them mops, and the line is judged on mopping before anything else.
Narwal's robots fall into two mop designs. The Freo models use spinning pads: the Freo X Ultra at $250 and Freo X Plus at $340 are 2024 models already marked discontinued, the Freo X10 Pro at $500 skips the camera and hot-water wash, the Freo Z10 Turbo at $550 pushes suction to 25,000 Pa, and the now-discontinued Freo Z10 Ultra ($1,000) and Freo Z Ultra ($1,200) added dual RGB cameras for obstacle recognition. The Flow at $1,250 and Flow 2 at $1,300 replace the pads with FlowWash, a wide track mop that is rinsed with hot water while it works so it is never dragging yesterday's dirt. Outside the robots, the S30 Pro at $550 is a cordless wet-dry floor washer with a hot-water self-cleaning dock, alongside the S30 at $350.
Owners largely agree about the mopping. Flow owners call it the best robot mop they have used, and Freo Z10 Ultra and Z10 Turbo owners describe floors left with a polished shine they did not get from other brands. The camera models earn praise too, with Freo Z10 Ultra owners describing it tracing around sleeping dogs. The complaints are just as consistent: Flow, Freo Z Ultra and Z10 Ultra owners say the robots drink water and send them back to refill the tank mid-run, and Flow and Z10 Ultra owners report a mapping app that cannot split rooms properly in open-plan homes. On thick carpet, Flow and Freo Z Ultra owners say the vacuuming trails Roborock and Dreame.
Before buying, look at your floors and your plumbing. These robots suit tile and hardwood homes best, and an optional plumbing kit removes the water chore on some models. Every Narwal model listed here carries a 1-year warranty, and Freo Z Ultra and S30 Pro owners describe slow support when something breaks.

Narwal vacuums: common questions
What is the difference between Narwal's track mop and spinning pads?▾
The Flow and Flow 2 use FlowWash, a wide rolling track mop that is sprayed with hot water and scraped clean continuously during the run, which owners credit with mopping that never smears. The Freo models use spinning or swing-out pads that are washed at the dock, which reach edges well but carry dirt between washes.
Do Narwal robots use a lot of water?▾
Yes, according to owners. Flow, Freo Z Ultra and Freo Z10 Ultra owners all report refilling the clean-water tank often, sometimes partway through a run in larger homes. Narwal sells a plumbing kit for some models, and Freo X10 Pro owners note its dock automates dust only, so you fill and empty the water tanks by hand.
Which Narwal robot is best for carpet?▾
Narwal is strongest on hard floors. Among the models listed here, Freo Z10 Turbo owners single out its carpet scrubbing and the Flow 2 carries the highest suction figure, while Flow and Freo Z Ultra owners say thick carpet is their weak spot. Carpet-heavy homes may be better served by a vacuum-first brand.
