How this site works

The Vacuum List is a comparison database for robot vacuums: 54 models across 10 brands, from $180 basics to $1,800 flagships. It exists because robot vacuum research is miserable. The specs are scattered across manufacturer pages that all claim to be revolutionary, and the honest information lives in thousand-comment Reddit threads. This site squeezes both into one sortable table.

Where the data comes from

Specs (suction, battery, dock features, dimensions) come from manufacturer spec sheets and product documentation. Prices are typical list prices; sales happen constantly, so treat a price here as a tier, not a quote. Star ratings and review counts are aggregated from major retail listings.

Where the opinions come from

We don't run a test lab, and we won't pretend to. The pros, cons, and owner notes on each model page are distilled from public owner discussions: Reddit threads on r/RobotVacuums and the brand subreddits, long-term owner reviews, and forum posts. When enough owners complain that a dock is enormous or an app is a maze of nested menus, that goes in the complaints. Summarizing is editorial work, and we try to keep the wording as blunt as the owners wrote it.

How the rankings are ordered

Guide and brand pages are sorted by owner rating, then by spec. There are no sponsored placements and no one can pay to move up a list. If a model sits first, it's because owners rate it first.

Keeping it current

The catalog was last refreshed on August 6, 2026. New models get added, prices get corrected, and discontinued vacuums get pulled as we notice them. If something looks off — a dead model, a stale price — that's a data bug, not an ad.
