What we collect

The Vacuum List has no accounts, sign-ups, or forms. We never ask for your name, email address, or payment details.

Like nearly every website, our servers record standard request logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps). These are used only to keep the site running and secure, and are rotated automatically.

The comparison tool remembers your filter choices in your browser's sessionStorage so they survive the trip to a product page and back. That data never leaves your browser and is cleared when you close the tab.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages and comparisons are useful. Google sets cookies to distinguish visitors and reports aggregate traffic to us; we do not see who you are. You can opt out with the Google Analytics browser add-on or by blocking third-party cookies.

Amazon Associates

The Vacuum List is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by linking to Amazon.com. When you click a “Check price on Amazon” link, Amazon sets its own cookies so a qualifying purchase can be attributed to us and we earn a small commission. This does not change the price you pay, and commissions never affect how we rank or describe products.

Prices and availability on this site are approximate and based on our last catalog update; the price on Amazon at the time of purchase applies. Amazon's handling of your data is governed by Amazon's own privacy notice.

Third-party links

Some products link to the manufacturer's own store instead of Amazon. Those sites set their own cookies and have their own privacy policies; we receive no data from them.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
