Lefant Vacuums

Lefant has 5 vacuums on The Vacuum List, across 2 machine types, priced from ~$90 to ~$200, 4 of which also mop. The flagship of the lineup is the Lefant N3. Compare the full lineup below.

Lefant makes only robot vacuums and a cordless mop, all at the low end of the market. Lefant Technology dates to 2011 and says it handles its own research, manufacturing and marketing, and its own web store is run in Europe by LeFun Robotics GmbH in Laatzen, Germany. US buyers mostly find the brand through online retailers rather than its own store, which shapes how support works.

Lefant names its robots by body size, separating 280mm models from 320mm ones, and the slim 280mm bodies are what let several of them get under low furniture. Among the models listed here, the now-discontinued M210 ($90) was the basic one: a 2.8-inch-tall bump-navigation robot with a brushless suction inlet instead of a roller, so there is nothing for hair to wrap around, but also no map. The M330 Pro ($120) and M310 Ultra ($170), also discontinued, added dToF LiDAR mapping, sensors that detect obstacles in the dark and saved multi-floor maps. Both had a basic charging base and no dock. The discontinued N3 ($200) added a vibrating mop pad, but kept a small 160ml water tank. The M2S Pro ($180), now Lefant's only current model here, is the one with a self-emptying station, a bagless base that Lefant rates for 90 days between empties.

Lefant's models have little long-term ownership record yet, so what to expect rests on the listed specs. One pattern runs across the whole range: the mop pad never lifts. Instead the robot either steers around carpet while the mop is attached or boosts suction once you take the mop holder off. In a home with rugs in the middle of hard-floor rooms, that means swapping the mop on and off by hand.

Before buying, check which model the seller is shipping. Lefant's store sells close variants such as the M210 Pro+, M210P and M330 Plus, whose specs differ from the versions listed here. The warranty also depends on who sold the robot.

Lefant vacuums: common questions

Does any Lefant robot empty itself?▾

Of the models listed here, only the M2S Pro has a self-emptying station. It uses a bagless 2.7-liter bin that Lefant rates for about 90 days, with an optional bag. The others return to a plain charging base and need their bins emptied by hand.

Do Lefant robots lift the mop over carpet?▾

No. None of the Lefant models listed here lifts its mop pad. With the mop attached they detect carpet and steer around it, and with the mop holder removed they raise suction on carpet instead.

Which Lefant robots make a map of the home?▾

The M330 Pro, M310 Ultra, M2S Pro and N3 all use LiDAR to build a map, which allows room selection and no-go zones in the app. The M210 has no mapping and moves in set patterns, bouncing off obstacles with infrared sensors.
