"Cleans in neat rows" describes gyroscope-based navigation rather than LiDAR mapping, so don't expect the room-by-room app maps that pricier Roombas draw. What you do get is the iRobot Home App with basic scheduling, Alexa/Google/Siri voice control, and iRobot's straightforward setup - this is the Roomba for someone who wants the brand name and app convenience without paying for self-emptying or advanced mapping. At this price it competes directly with eufy's and Roborock's cheapest bots, and the honest comparison is that those often out-suction it for less money; you're paying partly for the Roomba name and iRobot's app polish.
