Pros & cons
Dyson Omni-glide
- ✓Extremely lightweight and easy to maneuver one-handed
- ✓Omnidirectional head fits into gaps as small as 8 inches
- ✓Lies flat for cleaning fully under low furniture
- ✓Two power modes and quick handheld conversion for spot cleans
- ✓Cheapest full-size Dyson stick that's still current, not a legacy leftover
- ✗Not designed or marketed for carpet — hard floors and low-pile only
- ✗20-minute max runtime is short even for a compact stick
- ✗50ml dustbin needs emptying constantly on anything but a quick tidy
- ✗No published air-watts suction figure, only motor wattage
Shark Vertex Pro Cordless Stick Vacuum
- ✓DuoClean PowerFins dual brushroll cleans carpet and hard floor without a nozzle swap
- ✓IQ Display shows real-time runtime and mode so you're not guessing when the battery dies
- ✓Removable battery lets you swap in a spare rather than waiting on a full recharge
- ✓1.28L dustbin holds more than most cordless Shark sticks before needing to empty
- ✓Converts to a lightweight handheld for stairs and upholstery
- ✓5-year limited warranty
- ✗Rated 60-minute runtime is measured in ECO mode; boost mode runs out much faster in independent testing
- ✗No published suction/air watts figure
- ✗Heavier than Shark's entry Rocket cordless sticks at 8.8 lbs
- ✗No self-empty dock, so you're manually emptying the dustbin each time
- ✗Pricier than Shark's base Rocket Pet Pro Cordless already in this catalog
