Tapo Vacuums
Tapo has 3 vacuums on The Vacuum List, all robot vacuum & mops, priced from ~$200 to ~$600, 3 of which also mop. The flagship of the lineup is the Tapo RV50 Pro Omni. Compare the full lineup below.
Most people meet Tapo through a camera or a smart plug. It is TP-Link's smart home brand, and its robot vacuums run in the same Tapo app, which is a real reason to choose one if the rest of the house is already on it. The three robots here split into two budget self-emptying models at $200 and one full-dock flagship at $600.
The RV20 Max Plus and RV30 Max Plus share 5,300 Pa of suction, a 300 ml mop tank and an auto-empty dock with a 3-liter bag Tapo rates for about two months. The RV20 uses Tapo's MagSlim LiDAR in a body 83 mm tall, low enough for more sofas and beds. The RV30 adds LiDAR plus IMU navigation and a longer runtime of about three hours. Both handle rugs while mopping by detecting and routing around them, so neither lifts its pad. The RV50 Pro Omni is a different class of machine: 15,000 Pa, dual spinning mops, a dock that washes them in 140 °F water and dries them with warm air, 5-liter clean and 4-liter dirty tanks, and a 1-year warranty on robot and dock.
Owners of the RV20 Max Plus like the mapping, the slim body and getting a self-empty dock at this price. Their repeated complaint is the side brush motor, with failures or squealing reported within 6 to 12 months, sometimes fixed by clearing lint from the axle and sometimes needing a replacement. On the cheaper pair, check how much open floor you have in front of the dock and whether mopping around rugs, rather than lifting over them, is enough for your floors.

Which Tapo robot vacuums wash their own mops?▾
Only the RV50 Pro Omni among the models listed here. Its dock washes the mops in 140 °F water, dries them with 122 °F air and dispenses detergent. The RV20 Max Plus and RV30 Max Plus docks only empty the dust bin.
Do the Tapo RV20 Max Plus and RV30 Max Plus lift the mop over carpet?▾
Tapo describes both as detecting carpets and bypassing them while mopping so rugs stay dry. That is route avoidance rather than a mechanical lift, so plan on separate vacuum-only runs for rugs if you want them cleaned while the mop is attached.
What is the difference between the Tapo RV20 Max Plus and RV30 Max Plus?▾
Both have 5,300 Pa suction and the same 3-liter self-empty dock. The RV20 Max Plus is the slimmer robot at 83 mm tall with MagSlim LiDAR, while the RV30 Max Plus adds LiDAR plus IMU navigation and runs for about three hours per charge.
