Ryobi Vacuums
Ryobi has 2 vacuums on The Vacuum List, all handhelds, priced from ~$94 to ~$189. The flagship of the lineup is the RYOBI 18V ONE+ HP Brushless Jobsite Hand Vacuum Kit. Compare the full lineup below.
Ryobi's North American power tools belong to Techtronic Industries, the same group behind Milwaukee and Hoover, and almost every Ryobi vacuum hangs off one battery: the 18V ONE+ pack, which Ryobi says works with more than 300 products. Ryobi sells over a dozen hand vacuums, most offered both as a bare tool and as a kit, so the first thing to settle is whether you already own a ONE+ battery.
The two listed here pull in different directions. The PBLHV701K ($189) is a kit with a 4Ah HIGH PERFORMANCE battery and charger, built around Ryobi's brushless ONE+ HP motor. Ryobi rates it at up to 34 CFM and 84 inches of sealed suction, 68 dB(A), up to 45 minutes and 4.22 cups, with a HEPA filter and a 5-foot hose, crevice tool, floor nozzle and extension wand that let it work as a handheld, a short stick vac or a stationary bench unit. It is aimed at sawdust and jobsite debris. The PCL700B ($94) is the bare-tool version of Ryobi's powered-brush hand vacuum, with a mini motorized beater bar for pet hair in car seats and upholstery, plus LED lights.
Neither has much of a long-term track record yet. Check two things before choosing. The PCL700B's price leaves out a battery and charger, and Ryobi's own kit version, the PCL700K, adds a 2Ah pack. The PBLHV701K has no powered brush, so it is the wrong pick for pet hair despite costing twice as much.

Which Ryobi hand vacuum is better for pet hair?▾
The PCL700B, because it comes with a mini motorized beater bar that agitates hair out of upholstery and car seats. The pricier PBLHV701K has stronger rated airflow and HEPA filtration but only passive attachments, so it suits dust and debris better than fur.
Does the Ryobi PCL700B include a battery?▾
No. The PCL700B is sold as a tool only and needs an 18V ONE+ battery and charger. Ryobi sells the same vacuum as the PCL700K kit with a 2Ah battery and charger for buyers who are not already on the platform.
Can the Ryobi PBLHV701K be used as a stick vacuum?▾
Ryobi describes it as 3-in-1: handheld, stick vac with the included extension wand and floor nozzle, and a stationary mode using the 5-foot hose. It is a short-reach stick setup suited to floors in a shop or vehicle rather than whole-house cleaning.
